How can I tell if the MWD downhole battery needs to be replaced?

Exterior Inspection: Check the battery casing for signs of cracks, deformations, or leaks, which may be indications of battery damage.

Time-of-Use Evaluation: If the battery has been in use for a long time and has exceeded the manufacturer's recommended life expectancy, consider replacing it.

Performance Evaluation: If the battery does not perform well in loading tests or does not provide sufficient power to the MWD instrument, consider replacement.

Residual Energy Estimation: At the end of each drilling trip, the battery's residual energy is evaluated to ensure that it can support the next drilling trip.
