How to avoid false alarms when using lithium batteries for smoke alarms?

Periodically gently wipe the smoke alarm housing and air intake with a clean, soft cloth or brush to prevent dust buildup from affecting its sensing effectiveness.

Do not install smoke alarms in kitchens, bathrooms, etc., where large amounts of water vapor are likely to be generated to reduce false alarms caused by cooking smoke or water vapor.

Test the functionality of your smoke alarms once a month to make sure they are working properly. The test is usually done by pressing the test button and if the smoke alarm sounds or activates other alarm functions, the test is passed.

Ensure that the battery is securely mounted with good contact to avoid false alarms due to poor contact.
