What is the lowest temperature at which a high temperature lithium battery can be operated downhold?

Typically, the minimum operating temperature of downhole high temperature lithium batteries is usually around -20℃.

It is important to note that this minimum operating temperature is not an absolute fixed value. It will be affected by several factors, such as the specific materials and formulations used in the battery, the manufacturing process of the battery, the capacity of the battery, the degree of aging of the battery, and so on.

Some high-quality, specially designed downhole high-temperature lithium batteries may be able to operate at lower temperatures, such as -30°C or even -40°C, but these are among the better few.

Batteries of average quality or those that have been in use for a longer period of time and are more severely aged may suffer a significant drop in performance or may even fail to function properly when slightly above -20°C.
